CRCQL honors C4 graduates
On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, members of CRCQL gathered together with students’ friends and families to celebrate C4’s (Campus Coalition Concerning Chester) graduating seniors.
Many of the graduates have been members of C4 since their freshman year, and their hard work and many contributions over the years are deeply appreciated. We are so lucky to have their participation and we could not be as impactful without them.
The inaugural Gail M. Whitaker Social Justice Award was presented to Kayla Miller. Gail M. Whitaker was the first Black woman to open a law practice in Delaware County, and was a friend and mentor to members of CRCQL. This award was presented in her honor to Kayla for her exemplary leadership of C4.

Two seniors – Kayla Miller and Lindsey Turner – received additional awards at Swarthmore College’s commencement. Kayla received the Oak and Ivy award, and Lindsey received the McCabe Engineering Award. They were both acknowledged for their environmental justice work and for their work with CRCQL.

To our seniors: Kayla Miller, Lindsey Turner, Amelia Brown, Sadie Chernila, George Fang, Katie Ryu, and Angela Gil, thank you so much for your work, dedication, and care. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you do in the future!
